Explicit Boundaries for Agentic Systems

An agent should not be defined only by a prompt. Its real architecture includes the tools it can invoke, the data it can see, the actions that require approval, and the evidence used to verify success.

Treating those elements as system boundaries makes agentic workflows testable and operable. Autonomy then becomes a controlled capability rather than an unspecified risk.
